Melyssa then became the star of several independent films and got a good role in Showtime's hit series "Soul Food" and the UPN's "Platinum". Melyssa also decided to continue her studies at York University in Toronto, studying forensic psychology. She hoped that one day she would grow up to work for CSIS, within their behavioral and science unit. Melyssa desired to help develop character studies on high profile.
