Yelena Gadjievna Issinbaïeva, is an athlete (born June 3, 1982 in Volgograd, Russia), practicing the pole vault. Double Olympic champion in games in Athens and Beijing, it is also double world champion and European champion. She is the current world record holder (indoor and outdoor) of the women's pole vault.
