But like any true makeup lover I'm always hungry to try something new. Here is a list of my everyday must have products -some I've been using for years. I've also thrown in a list of my latest lurves too.
{the old dogs}
- Shadows- MAC- Jest and Satin Taupe. A shimmery soft pink and shimmery brown shade. (I've been using these 2 shadows as my everyday colours for almost 15 years, they go perfectly together.)
- MAC Minerized Blush in Warm Soul. Gives a gorgeous finish (with just the right amount of pink) when used with a fluffy kabuki brush.
- Laura Mercier Brow Filler- Can't live with out it. 2 colour choices ( I like blonde). It fills in my brows perfectly and works great with a small, stiff angled brush.
- MAC and Sephora brushes- I have over 10 that I use on a regular basis for shadow/powder/blush/ foundation application.
- Sephora Make-up Eraser Pen- Best. Invention. Ever. -Makeup remover with a pointed tip for removing even the tiniest slip-ups.
- Cover Girl eye liner in Expresso- yes it's an 'automatic' click style liner (which most people dislike) but it's so easy to use everyday and gives a smooth clean line in a dark black brown colour. (I find black liner too harsh for everyday.) I usually line my bottom lid with my crease shadow colour.
- Yves Saint Laurent- Touche Eclat, highlighter pen. Great for brightening under the eye. A classic must-have to banish the kid was up 3 times last night under-eye dark circles.
{the new kids on the block}
- Cargo Blu_ray High Definition Make-up. A pressed powder that gives a silky, flawless finish. Believe the hype, this stuff is A-mazing.
- MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural Powder in Medium Plus. My other powder go-to, gives smooth even coverage that compliments MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Porcelain Pink ( a great pink-ish tinged highlighting powder that really illuminates the under eye and cheek bones.)
- MAC Select Foundation in NW20. Light feeling coverage that works great during my tan-less winter months.
- MAC Blacktrack Fluidline eye liner (the small pot). The best for lining your waterline. A seriously black liner that I apply with a small slanted brush. Tricky to apply but gives a bold look for evening.
- Lise Watier Makeup Base for eyes and lips. A great eye primer for all day wear. Prevents eye shadow creasing.
- Masacra- L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion. LOVE this and have raved about it before here. And Dior Show, my other (new) go-to mascara.
My fave lippies are MAC Creme De Nude (light beigey/pinky nude) and Twig (soft muted browny-pink)
What are your absolute must-have products???
